Your first Tintin book?
My first was The Seven Crystal Balls. I was just browsing through the Children's section, checking out the pictures inside a very large, red book with a dragon drawn on it (I was two, mind you, and I couldn't read). So here comes my uncle and totally geeks out in the comics section. The next ten minutes, he's just guffawing about Tintin and how he used to read it as a kid. So I picked up Seven Crystal Balls, went through the pages and then came upon the one with the mummy poised to throw the Crystal. I looked at my uncle and said, "I want this."
My granny read it to me as I lay on my bed.
A year later, it became the first thing I ever read.

Re: Your first Tintin book?
My first was Land of Black Gold, but it's not the first Tintin story I know, because I started off with the E-N series (Crabs with Golden Claws, specifically) and I thought it was originally a TV series, I had no idea it was originally in books! When I went to the bookstore I saw the books and I was like "Psh, I've seen them on TV." But I haven't seen Black Gold, so I tried that one out.
It was many years later I found out that the TV series was an adaptation of the books instead of the other way around. Then I started collecting.

Re: Your first Tintin book?
My brothers peer-pressured me into watching the cartoons, and I thought they were stupid. And then I read the books and my opinion changed.
I think the first books I picked up were Prisoners of the Sun, Cigars of the Pharaoh and Tintin in Tibet. I didn't finish reading Prisoners because I realised it was a sequel, I stopped reading Cigars because the word 'queer' was used and I didn't understand it and was waiting till I found a dictionary (it's how I rolled), so Tibet was the first book I finished.
I remember sitting on my Dad's bed reading, and him calling to me for dinner just as Haddock was hanging from Tintin over a rockface. I was 12, I think... And thought that Tintin's hat was the cutest thing ever.
